Teaching Jobs in China
We have contacts with schools, Universities and companies throughout China who are looking to recruit native speaker English teachers. All our contact schools and companies are fully licensed and approved by the Chinese government to recruit foreign teachers.
There are many different teaching jobs on offer. The following lists give you an idea of some of the types available. If you opt for the Job Placement Service, we will go over these in more detail with you during the ChinaTeach Weekend and discuss your preferences. You may choose to postpone your job application until a later date. You will be able to make use of our Job Placement Service up to 6 months from the date of your ChinaTeach Weekend.

Salary and Benefits
- 4000 Yuan to 8000+ Yuan depending on qualifications, experience and location. (£1.00 = about 15 Yuan) This salary is higher than an average local salary and you should be able to enjoy a reasonable standard of living and save some money.
- Airport or railway station pick up
- Free accommodation. The type of accommodation varies but typically is a furnished apartment with cooker, fridge, air-conditioning, TV, internet access. You will either have your own apartment or share with 2 or 3 teachers, each with your own bedroom.
- Return airfare reimbursed at end of one year contract
- Paid holidays - Semester breaks and Chinese public holidays. Minimum of 3 to 4 weeks paid holiday per year, plus Chinese public holidays.
Teaching Start Dates
(You need to allow at least 2 months from your initial application to starting your new job in China.)

Length of Contract
- One semester (5 months)
- 6 months
- Two semesters (10 months)
- One year
Teaching Hours per Week
- 14-20 hours in state-owned schools and Universities
- Up to 40 hours in private schools and companies
Teaching Content Could Include...
- Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening skills
- Exam preparation
- Subject specific (depending on your qualifications/academic background)
- English for Academic Purposes
Class Sizes
- 20 - 60 students
